today, I heard Kathleen Edwards song about you, a song that I have heard many times ...& today I decided to look it up ... I did not expect to read about what happened to you. My heart goes out to your family and friends....blessings and peace for you see you will always be remembered both by those who know and love you and by those who didn't know but have love for you.

Not Forgotten

I lived in Thornhill when Alicia went missing. I didn't know her but like many, felt deeply involved. Went on searches, left flowers and a note and even visited her grave a few times to talk to her.
I now live in the west but I think about your family and Alicia often.
I just wanted to let you know that she will always be remembered xoxo

Thinking of Alicia

from: Mishi

I just wanted to let you know that even though I didn't know Alicia, her story is one I still think of and tell people. She made a difference in this world, and she is not forgotten. Her smile and energy just jump off the pages of this website, and I'm so sorry you have to look at a photo, instead of at her.

Your Precious Daughter

from: Deanna Collrin

To the family of Alicia...I read this article this a.m. about your dear daughter and my heart wept. I do remember the story of when Alicia went missing. Although some years have passed, I do know that the love and sadness you feel in your heart is no less than the day Alicia disappeared.
Being the mother of a daughter, I can only imagine the loss your family feels. The photos on this website of your darling baby girl brought me to tears.
I am so very sorry for all the family. You probably think that she has been forgotten by most, but I want you to know, that even though I did not know this beautiful woman, that my heart still aches for your loss. I know that she is free with her Lord, and her spirit lives freely in each one of you and that Alicia walks with you daily, and that someday, you will feel her hand in yours again. God bless.

Thinking about You

The canoes by the beach at Cypress Lake remind me of your love of the outdoors. A cool swim in Georgian Bay reminds me of you and your love for the water. Summer time, late August, always, Love to you and your family.

Years later, but still not forgotten

With all that is happening in the news re: Tim Bosma, a man from Ancaster who was abruptly taken away from his wife and 2 year old daughter, and brutally burnt to death. My heart aches. Minutes after learning about Tim Bosma's unfortunate demise, I thought of Alicia, "everyone's daugher". How can we live in such a cruel world. How can people kill people w/o feeling any remorse. Do they not think of the other family members that remain and will be affected. How can people be so cruel? How? I have sat at my computer since yesterday reading about Alicia. Smiling, then shedding tears, then smiling again, and then tears. Just know that even years later, she has not been forgotten - and this too coming from a complete stranger. May God continue to grant you patience, I pray.

For Sharon

from: Patricia

I recently moved to another city and found the small program for the service for Interment October 7, 2005. I often thought of you Sharon over the years so when I found this I used Google to locate this site. It is a wonderful site; a loving portrait of you, your Alicia, her friends and family. You were so blessed to have Alicia in her life and most definitely, she was so fortunate to have you for a mother. Blessings.

Thinking of Alicia and her family

from: A Thornhill neighbor and mom

We have smiled and nodded at each other for many years, but we don't know each other.
Every time I see you, I remember.
Every time I drive past your home, I remember.
Every summer, I remember.
Thinking of you now, and always.

Hi Alicia,

While we were not very close friends, I still find myself thinking about how you are, and good times we all shared together.

I look back at the pictures and those times bring a big smile to my face - they were pretty amazing, so much fun.

Still thinking of you today, as I know all of your friends are and wishing you only the best.
